SHARD

As nature’s monumental sculpture, stone is the bedrock on which our world rests, a world where it is both artefact and indicator of civilisation.

A result of our exploration into the wonders of the lithic realm, ‘Shard’ is abstracted rock, built from faceted aluminium panels. Through an arduous manufacturing and assembly process, that is one of the longest the Studio has worked on, the multiple pieces, each with multiple angles, create a morphological bench that is cutting edge yet primordial.
